The Varian 600-IR series delivers superior quality information, even from challenging samples, in the shortest

Varian's patented, air-cooled mid-infrared source with retro-reflector doubles the output you would expect from conventional air-cooled sources. In fact, it delivers more power than any other source. The result is superior sensitivity and productivity.

Varian's high end FT-IRs contain the largest diameter mirrors and beamsplitters (57 mm), resulting in optical throughput over four times that of any other FT-IR. In addition, all Varian FT-IRs contain the highest performing, dynamically aligned 60° air-bearing interferometer to maximize throughput and S/N performance. The shallow 30° angle of incidence creates a large projected beamsplitter image, further increasing optical throughput. The improved data quality and faster analysis saves time and money, and allows you to measure even challenging samples.

Varian's third generation FPA detectors provide the largest area of analysis and field of view (FOV) of any imaging detector available today. The Varian imaging system FOV is four times as big as that on any other FPA detector. Further increase the FOV to sixteen times using Varian's unique Field Expanding Optics, allowing you to complete your data analysis over sixteen times faster. Compared to single detector or linear array mapping, the speed can be orders of magnitude better!
